There is a lot in our lives that we have control over but for every one thing
we have control over there are 10 thing's we don't. This should make it
all that much more important that when we see we are in a position of
control we take it and even more importantly we take to a good,
positive and forward moving place. Even more important than all of that
are the parts of our lives that we can't control. Those we need to
make absolutely sure we've recognized that we are powerless and not in
control and be wise enough then to lift it up to the only one we can
ever trust 100%. I can't think of a more secure way to live than to
take the wheel when clearly you can and to let go and give God the
wheel when clearly you can't.
This doesn't mean every little thing is going to go your way and
life is going to be what you deem to be perfect. On the contrary this
life of ours shouldn't be about ourselves and making our lives
"perfect". This life should be about the space we are in, everyone that
shares it with us and making it the best it can be by being the best we
can be and doing the best we are capable of doing. Asking or expecting
anything more is setting yourself up for a lifetime of depression and
disappointment...disappointment to ourselves and everyone around us.
The more you make your life about helping others the less time you
have to pity yourself, the less time you have to pity yourself the less
you can find yourself in a position of depression or anger. It's not
about you and nothing will ever be about you it's about what you've
done, what you are doing and what you will/can do.
